Opportunities for Graduate Students

Internships in Bioindustry

Internships in industry provide a unique research experience for students who are receiving in-depth education in the biosciences at the UA. Students acquire skills that transcend the traditional disciplinary boundaries, preparing students for leadership positions in biological industries. Interns develop skills required for work in interdisciplinary teams, solving multi-faceted problems.

University faculty and industry researchers benefit from mentoring students who are poised for success in the biosciences, and benefit from increased research collaboration. The program also provides students with a much broader array of research options BIO5 is coordinating bioindustry internship experiences and interested faculty and students should contact Kevin Hall, BIO5 Director of Research Training & Career Development, at jkh@email.arizona.edu. As internships become available announcements will be posted.
