Supporting K-12 teachers

BIO5 offers K-12 teachers professional development, guest scientists, and science education resources they can use in their classrooms.

The Arizona K-12 Science Teacher Symposium draws K-12 teachers from across the State. This annual event features professional development workshops, speakers and a science education outreach resource fair.

The BIOTECH Project provides teacher training, classroom visits and resource and equipment support to high school teachers (state-wide) integrating biotechnology into their curricula.

Jr. BIOTECH is now available for middle school classrooms!

BioME (Biodiversity from Molecules to Ecosystems) creates and supports year-long partnerships between life sciences graduate students and K-12 educators.

GEMS hands-on science education kits are available FREE for loan to local classrooms.

BIO5 partners provide laboratory research experience for science teachers.
